Haskell constructed a new 50MW expansion within the tight confines of an existing power plant. The project included six Wartsila reciprocating engine generator sets that produce 8.3 MW's each. The new facility was constructed immediately adjacent to two existing turbines that are in full operation by Modesto Irrigation District. Electrical energy produced by the facility will serve residential, industrial, and commercial customers in the vicinity of Modesto, CA.
